If you find your medicine cabinet full of expired drugs or medications you no longer use, you can dispose of your expired, unwanted, or unused medicines through a drug take back program. It’s a safe and proper way to dispose of outdated or unused medications, and it is totally free of charge. The Blair County Sheriff Office, along with the Altoona, Freedom Township, and Martinsburg Borough Police, are participating in this year’s National Take Back Initiative Drug take back program. It will be held this Saturday, from 10 till 2. The Altoona Police will be at Martin’s Food on East Chestnut Ave. The Blair County Sheriff’s Office will set up in front of the Blair County Courthouse in Hollidaysburg. Freedom Township Police will be at Walmart in Duncansville, and Martinsburg Borough Police will be at their station on Mulberry Street Martinsburg.
