For our latest “Local Song of the Week,” we spotlight Altoona-based artist, songwriter and composer Sascha Damon Frost, and a tune from his electronica-based musical project Memory Collector. In Memory Collector, Sascha likes to explore various electronica-geared frontiers, progressive and ambient instrumental arrangements. This song, “Masque,” shows that Sascha can also sing, as he crafts a catchy melody that rides along a smooth arrangement; it is the only vocal number from Memory Collector’s latest album, “Future Eyes.” Besides creating his own music, Sascha also promotes the creativity of other members of Altoona’s independent music scene, and he is one of the primary organizers of the upcoming Mass N Tha Grass Art and Music Festival, happening August 6-8 at the Sinking Valley Fairgrounds in northern Blair County!
