An Altoona woman is now the new Miss Pennsylvania. 25 year old Meghan Sinisi, who already had secured the title of Miss Central Pennsylvania, was crowned in York Saturday night, after the final session of a three-day competition bringing together 22 contestants from around the state. Sinisi will now represent Pennsylvania at the 100th Miss America competition at the Mohegan Sun Resort in Connecticut in December. She also wins a $10,000 scholarship. Meghan is a 2017 graduate of Syracuse University and earned a master’s degree earlier this year from the University of Missouri in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences. Before enrolling at Missouri, she had served as a literacy teacher for AmeriCorps.
