Here is a listing of area live music and online music happenings for the weekend and week of Friday, June 25 through Thursday, July 1.
With the continued easing of COVID-19-related restrictions, more live music venues across the area are hosting performances. The listing below includes both area live public shows and online live-streaming shows; keep checking back, as this listing will be updated as new shows are announced.
If you are attending a public show, be aware that seating and admission may be limited at some locations due to remaining COVID-19 restrictions, and masks and social distancing may be required. Please be responsible, and respect others’ personal space if they wish to socially distance from other people.
For online performances, if a “virtual tip jar” situation is available during live streams, please consider tipping these performers, and support them during this time when they cannot earn income playing shows at public venues. Websites for these performers are also listed; please consider purchasing their music digitally or via CD, which is another way to SUPPORT LIVE MUSIC!
In the words of Steppenwolf’s popular song, if you are a motorcycle fan, this is the weekend to “get your motor runnin'” in these parts and “head out on the highway” for multiple motorcycle-related events happening in the region. The PA Roundhouse Rally reconvenes at Roundhouse Harley-Davidson in Duncansville, Johnstown’s Thunder In the Valley returns after missing last year due to COVID-19, and Cambria Summit ABATE’s Bike Fest happens at the American Legion Fairgrounds in Ebensburg this weekend as well. Plus individual bars and venues are staging their own events in conjunction with the motorcycle celebrations this weekend. See the listing below for all the music-related events tied in with the roar of motorcycle thunder this weekend, and who is performing where and when.
After the weekend motorcycle thunder has subsided, activities begin to gear up for July 4 next weekend, including the start of the July 4 celebration and 100 Year Celebration at Morrisons Cove Memorial Park in Martinsburg. The annual Ag Parade happens Tuesday evening, and musically, The Lawn Darts entertain on Wednesday, Ricky Lee performs Thursday, and Bone Jacked provides the rock’n’roll next Friday, July 2.
