Backyard Beats Listing 8/6: Mass N Tha Grass, Fairs, PA Roundhouse Rally and More This Weekend!

Here is a listing of area live music and online music happenings for the weekend and week of Friday, August 6 through Thursday, August 12.

Among the highlights over the next seven days is the return of the Mass N Tha Grass Music & Art Festival, happening Friday through Sunday at the Sinking Valley Fairgrounds. This festival celebrates alternative music and arts originating from the Altoona and surrounding areas. The event features more than 30 bands and performers, plus art displays and demonstrations, food, refreshments and more. Overnight camping is available as well.

County fair season continues over the next week; the Clearfield County Fair wraps up its week on Saturday night with country headliners Russell Dickerson and Jameson Rodgers on the Grandstand stage. The annual Huntingdon County Fair then makes its return Sunday and continues through Saturday, with live musical entertainment each day.

The August edition of the PA Roundhouse Rally happens through Saturday at Roundhouse Harley-Davidson near Duncansville. Area lady-fronted bands take the spotlight on Friday with Stephanie & the Wild Hearts followed by This Albatross, and Ozzy Osbourne tribute act The Land Of Ozz headlines a three-band slate on Saturday.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul presents “Summerfest: Feed the Need” at People’s Natural Gas Park in Johnstown on Saturday, as former NBC “The Voice” finalist Josh Gallagher headlines a day of music for a great cause.
