A Hollidaysburg man who threw a 24″ x 12″ wooden cross through the front window of Representative Jim Gregory’s office back in January, has now pleaded guilty to criminal charges in a plea deal with Blair County prosecutors. On Tuesday, 31 year old Joseph Fox Jr entered guilty pleas to possessing an instrument of crime, institutional vandalism, harassment, criminal mischief, and harassment by communications… all in exchange for a reduced sentence of five years of probation. Judge Daniel J. Milliron, before imposing the sentence however, warned Fox that a condition of the sentence will require him to remain on his side of Allegheny Street and to avoid all contact with Gregory, Gregory’s family and Gregory’s office staff. Fox lives in an apartment directly across the street from Gregory’s office. He promised the judge that he will comply. The judge then warned him again, saying “Close calls are not going to be accepted.” Judge Milliron said if anything happens and there is any connection to Jim Gregory, then Fox is going to go directly to jail. Fox is now also required to undergo a mental health evaluation and to follow recommended treatment, and then share that information with his probation officer.
