Here is a listing of area live music and online music happenings for the weekend and week of Friday, October 1 through Thursday, October 7.
Fall festivals provide some live music highlights this weekend; including the return of some big festivals that didn’t happen last year due to COVID-19, as well as a number of smaller fall-themed events throughout the region.
Usually happening in early August, Johnstown’s Flood City Music Festival is happening in early October this year. This event features multiple performers both days, including both local and touring national names. Uprooted, featuring Michael Glabicki of Rusted Root, is the featured headliner for Friday, while 1980s hitmaker Bruce Hornsby brings his current band, the Noisemakers, to headline the festival on Saturday night.
Bedford’s Fall Foliage Festival is back this year, with the first of two weekends happening this Saturday and Sunday. A number of folk and bluegrass performers populate the festival’s stages on Saturday, while White Shadow and its various incarnations, plus Felix & the Hurricanes and Rust, take the stages on Sunday.
Prince Gallitzin State Park’s annual Apple Cider Festival returns on Sunday to the park’s Muskrat Beach area. Arts and craft vendors, food stands, apple cider pressing, children’s activities and more will take place. Live music will also take place; the performer schedule wasn’t available at the time of this posting. Pontoon boat rides to the festival will be available at the Killbuck dock area.
Downtown Everett hosts a Fall Fest both Saturday and Sunday, with live music performers both days. See the listing below for more details.
And Way Fruit Farm near Stormstown presents their Pumpkin Patch Weekend from Friday through Sunday, featuring hayrides to harvest pumpkins directly from the fields, food and craft vendors, and live music both Friday and Saturday. See the listing below to see who is performing both days.
There’s lots of music to be seen and enjoyed this weekend, so check the listing, pick a show or two (or three), and SUPPORT LIVE MUSIC!
