As a Producer, Jerry Crutchfield was nominated for the CMA’s Song the Year, winning it twice. He produced hits for Lee Greenwood, Tanya Tucker, Tracy Byrd and Glen Campbell. He also produced singer/songwriter Dave Loggins’ pop hit, “Please Come to Boston.” He wrote over 150 songs recorded by everyone from Elvis Presley, Lou Rawls, Ernest Tubb, Eddy Arnold to Tucker and Greenwood. He was with MCA Music Publishing for 25 years, working with such writers as Loggins, Don Schlitz and Gary Burr. Jerry Crutchfield was 79.
