THE COUNTY OF BLAIR IS SEEKING TO HIRE A NEW FINANCE DIRECTOR.

A REPORT IN THE ALTOONA MIRROR INDICATES THAT JEN SLEPPEY HAS TURNED IN HER RESIGNATION TO THE COMMISSIONERS. SLEPPY WAS HIRED FOR THE JOB BACK IN 2017, AND DREW PRAISE FROM THE COMMISSIONERS AND FROM PRESIDENT JUDGE ELIZABETH DOYLE. JUDGE DOYLE COMPLIMENTED SLEPPY FOR MAKING FINANCIAL ISSUES SIMPLE TO UNDERSTAND AND TO GET THE MOST OUF OF WHAT THE COUNTY HAD TO WORK WITH.

COMMISSIONER BRUCE ERB SAID THAT SLEPPY IS LEAVING BLAIR COUNTY IN BETTER SHAPE THAN WHERE IT WAS WHEN SHE BEGAN. SLEPPY IS TAKING A SIMILAR POSITION IN THE PENNS MANOR SCHOOL DISTRICT.
