A BLAIR COUNTY MAN IS FACING CHARGES OF THREATENING TO KILL A WOMAN.
IN A REPORT BY WTAJ, POLICE ARRESTED 34 YEAR OLD BRETT GATES OF ANTIS TWP AFTER HE ALLEGEDLY MADE A THREAT TO A FRIEND THAT HE WAS GOING TO KILL A WOMAN AND THEN HIMSELF. THE REPORT STATES THAT GATES WAS ON PROBATION FOR A VIOLATION OF A PFA AGAINST HIM AND THAT HE HAD ANOTHER ONE PLACED AGAINST HIM. THE WOMAN TOLD POLICE SHE THOUGHT SHE HEARD GATES PULL THE REVOLVER WHILE ON THE PHONE, BUT THERE WAS NO AMMO IN THE CHAMBER. GATES WAS ARRESTED AND CHARGED WITH FELONY AGGRAVATED ASSAULT, ALONG WITH SIMPLE ASSAULT, RECKLESS ENDANGERMENT AND KIDNAPPING. HE IS BEHIND BARS AWAITING A HEARING.
