On this day in 2007, the number one song was inspired by this singer’s son and a little school incident. The singer is Rodney Atkins and his son Elijah was singing one of Atkins’ songs to his teachers. The one titled “If You’re Going Through Hell (Before The Devil Even Knows).” Atkins had to have a sit-down with little Elijah to explain why it might not be appropriate for him to be singing that in school. January 27th, 2007, the number one song was by Rodney Atkins singing a song about his son Elijah called “Watching You.”
