GOV WOLF SIGNED A BILL THIS WEEK THAT WILL GET MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO HOSPITALS AND FRONT LINE PANDEMIC WORKERS.
A REPORT BY WJAC STATES THAT THE GOVERNOR SIGNED THE BILL THAT WILL RELEASE $225 MILLION FOR HOSPITALS TO BRING SOME RELIEF TO STRESSED OUT WORKERS AND STAFF. LAWMAKERS HOPE THIS MONEY WILL HELP WITH STAFFING SHORTAGES AND FOR WHAT THEY SAY IS BURNOUT OF MANY HOSPITAL WORKERS. MAJORITY LEADER KERRY BENNINGHOFF SAYS THAT THE MONEY IS TARGETED TO KEEP EMPLOLYEES WORKING AND TO KEEP THEM ON STAFF. SOME OF THIS MONEY WILL GO TO CRITICAL CARE HOSPITALS AND SOME TO ACUTE CARE GENERAL HOSPITALS. $15 MILLION WILL ALSO GO TO HELP PA STUDENT LOAN RELIEF FOR NURSES PROGRAMS.
