A REPORT IN THE ALTOONA MIRROR VIA THE ASSOCIATED PRESS SAYS THAT SOME OF THE STATE’S TOP DEMOCRATS WHO WERE INVITED TO JOIN THE PRESIDENT TODAY WHEN HE VISITS PTTSBURGH, HAVE DECLINED THE INVITATION, ALL 3 CITING SCHEDULING CONFLICTS AS THE REASON. LT. GOV JON FETTERMAN, A CANDIDATE FOR U.S. SENATOR, ATTORNEY JOSH SHAPIRO, CANDIDATE FOR GOVERNOR AND CONGRESSMAN CONNOR LAMB, ALSO A SENATE CANDIDATE ALL HAVE TURNED DOWN THE OFFER TO BE SEEN WITH THE PRESIDENT. GOV TOM WOLF, WHO WILL LEAVE OFFICE AT THE END OF THIS YEAR, IS EXPECTED TO JOIN BIDEN IN PITTSBURGH TODAY. DEMS IN OTHER STATES HAVE ALSO BEEN TURNING DOWN INVITATIONS TO STAND WITH THE PRESIDENT ACCORDING TO THE REPORT.
