THE ALTOONA MIRROR REPORTS THAT A POWERLINE AT THE INTERSECTION OF LOCKE MOUNTAIN ROAD AND RIVER ROAD FAILED YESTERDAY AROUND 12:50 PM DUE TO A BROKEN INSULATOR. THAT INCIDENT CAUSED MORE THAN 2500 CUSTOMERS TO BE WITHOUT POWER IN HOLLIDAYSBURG. BUT CUSTOMERS LOST POWER FOR A VERY SHORT TIME. MOST HAD THE LIGHTS BACK ON WITHIN A HALF AN HOUR. THERE WAS SOME TRAFFIC PROBLEMS WITH THE OUTAGE, BUT DRIVERS WERE ALERTED TO THE SITUATION AND AVOIDED THE AREA UNTIL THE PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED. THE DOWNED LINE WAS CARRYING 46,000 VOLTS OF ELECTRICITY, WHICH IS NOT A RESIDENTIAL LINE.
