This week’s “Local Song of the Week” takes it fast, hard and heavy, courtesy of Pittsburgh-based punk-metal mayhem rockers The Filthy Lowdown! The closing track off their 2018 album “El Accidente,” “Twisted Minds” offers a strong representation of what this band is about – pedal-to-the-metal, high-velocity, thrashing punk-metal capped by the intense musings and antics of frontman “Abe Like Lincoln” Balestra! The Filthy Lowdown is no stranger to central PA stages – watch for their return to McGarvey’s in Altoona, the Root-Hovett Hall in Patton and western PA outdoor stages as the festival season heats up!
