IN A REPORT OUT OF HARRISBURG, THE STATE SUPREME COURT HEARD ARGUMENTS FOR MORE THAN 3 HOURS YESTERDAY OVER WHETHER TO THROW OUT A BARLEY 3 YEAR OLD LAW THAT PERMITTED THE NEW NO EXCUSE VOTING PRACTICE. ONE JUSTICE SAID THAT HE FELT THIS WAS AN ATTEMPT BY ONE PARTY (REPUBLICAN) TO TRY TO OBTAIN SUPREMACY AT THE BALLOT BOX BY GETTING THE LAW DECLARED UNCONSTITUTIONAL. ONE OF THE LAWYERS AT THE HEARING SAID THAT IF THE LAW WAS DECLARED UNCONSTITUTIONAL, THEN MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WOULD HAVE TO BE RE-EDUCATED, AND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WOULD HAVE TO BE SPENT ON THAT RE-EDUCATION. NO WORD ON WHEN OR IF THE HIGH COURT WILL RULE ON THE MATTER. THE PRIMARY ELECTION IS SCHEDULED FOR MAY 17th.
