A REPORT BY WTAJ INDICAES THAT THE DUNCANSVILLE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPT WAS CALLED OUT TO A FIRE ON 16th STREET IN THE BOROUGH SHORTLY BEFORE 1:00 SATURDAY AFTERNOON. THE REPORT STATES THAT FLAMES AND SMOKE COULD BE SEEN COMING OUT OF A FIRST FLOOR WINDOW IN THE HOME. FIREFIGHTERS WERE ABLE TO CONTAIN THE FIRE TO THE ROOM WHERE IT POSSIBLY BEGAN. OFFICIALS SAY THAT THE HOUSE SUFFERED SMOKE DAMAGE. SEVERAL MORE CREWS WERE CALLED TO THE SCENE TO DO A SWEEP OF THE HOUSE AND HAD CLEARED THE AREA WITHIN A COUPLE OF HOURS. THERE WERE NO INJURIES REPORTED, AND THE FIRE IS UNDER INVESTIGATION.
