ACCORDING TO NEWS REPORTS, DRINKS TO GO COULD BE MAKING A COMEBACK IN PENNSYLVANIA. THE LEGISLATURE APPROVED THE EMERGENCY BILL DURING THE HEIGHT OF THE PANDEMIC, WHICH ALLOWED BARS TO SELL DRINKS TO GO BECAUSE OF REDUCED CUSTOMERS INSIDE OF ESTABLISHMENTS. NOW IT LOOKS LIKE THE LEGISLATURE WANTS TO MAKE THIS PERMANENT. HOSUE BILL 1154 WAS PASSED WITH THE LANGUAGE INCLUDED LAST SUMMER, BUT IT WAS TAKEN OUT AT THE LAST MINUTE BECAUSE IT CONTAINED A PROVISION THAT SUPERMARKETS AND CONVENIENCE STORES COULD ALSO SELL DRINKS TO GO, BUT GOV WOLF OPPOSED THAT IDEA. THE LEGISLATION WAS RE-INTRODUCED LAST FRIDAY IN THE SENATE.
