Sen. Jake Corman Has Introduced Legislation In Harrisburg That Would In Effect Cut The Highest Gas Tax In The Nation By 1/3. Corman Stated Yesterday That This Move, Coupled With A Possible National Gas Tax Holiday, Could Cut The Gas Taxes In Pa By Up To 50%. The Story Also Stated That Gas Prices Have Risen $1.31 Per Gallon In Pennsylvania Since The Spring Of 2021, And Have Gone Up A Whopping 58 Cents Per Gallon Just In The Past Calendar Month. Corman Blamed The High Prices On President Biden, Gov Wolf And The Russian Invasion Of Ukraine. Corman Said The State Would Make Up For The Lost Tax Revenue With Monies From Federal Funds Received And A Bond Issue.
