A Report By The Associated Press Indicates That House Bill 972 Has Passed In Harrisburg. The Bill Simply States That Transgender Athletes In Pennsylvania Would Not Be Permitted To Participate In Women’s Sports. The Bill Passed On A Strictly Partyline Vote Of 15-9. The Bill Would Provide Language That Sporting Activities In Pa Would Be Designated As Male, Female Or Coed. The Bill Would Keep Athletes On Teams Of Their Own Biological Gender. The PIAA Did Not Get Involved With This Bill, Saying It Will Leave This Decision Up To The Schools. 12 States Already Have Passed Similar Laws, And Another 21 Have Bills That Are Pending. Gov Wolf Says He Will Veto The Bill.
