The Altoona Mirror reports that St. Leonard’s Home in Hollidaysburg has announced it will be closing after 75 years of caring for elderly residents. The parent company that runs the home stated that the difficult economic times that are greatly impacting healthcare at this time caused the closing to be made. Company officials from CSFN Mission & Ministry say that they are going to great lengths to ensure that residents are moved into other facilities with as little inconvenience as possible. Residents that are still in the home, will be cared for until they are placed in another facility. No information regarding the buildings future was released.
