The Altoona Mirror reports that the board is recommending a 4.9% tax increase for the 22-23 school year, which would bring in an additional $950,000. If approved, the higher millage rate will cost the owner of a property an extra $30.41 per year for every $100,000 of assessed value. The committee of the whole reported last night that projected revenue collections for next school year will come in less than in the 2018-19 budget. The budget will be officially be presented next Monday night, and be open for public inspection, but that will not include a vote on the tax hike proposal. That will be saved for the June 20th meeting when a final vote on the budget is expected
