News reports suggest the student of Altoona Area Junior High School was taken into custody after authorities learned that a threat was made against the school. The alleged threat was made on Wednesday, the same day as the shooting in Texas which claimed 21 lives. The unidentified student was taken into police custody without incident and has been suspended from school for the rest of the year. Altoona Police and the Altoona School District police are handling the investigation. The suspect will be charged with a felony count of making terroristic threats.
