The Altoona Mirror reports that the state superior court rejected arguments from Ryan Hardwick and is attorney for his part in the 2015 killing of Stephanie Watters of roaring spring. Hardwick and Deauntay Moye met Watters in Woodbury Bedford County to buy marijuana. The two then murdered watters after they discussed killing whoever showed up with the drugs. The court in its ruling, said that the 40 year sentence Hardwick received will stand because he pleaded guilty to the charges against him, including 1st degree murder. His attorney pleaded that the sentence was excessive and it should be reduced to 35 years. It had originally been 60, but a judge reduced it to the current 40.
