News reports indicate that troopers launched a program known as “Camo Cop” last Wednesday to try to get drivers to slow down and make roadways safer. The program netted 27 speeders, and 1 arrest for a reported 4th time DUI driver. Troopers also reported an unlicensed dirt bike was clocked doing 71 mph along St. Joseph street in Allegheny Twp in the early afternoon hours. Police are still seeking out that driver. The program was set up in an area of the county where many crashes have occurred and that is a high volume traffic area. More Camo Cop details will be in operation over the next several weeks.
