A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that 51 year old John Shelton was sentenced to 30 months probation after he entered Altoona Jr High School to use a restroom. Shelton reportedly walked into the school back in march in search of a restroom. Problem is that Shelton entered the building unauthorized, and was in possession of two knives. He told Judge Elizabeth Doyle that he just needed a restroom. According to the report, Shelton entered through the lobby doors at the school on march 28th. He pled guilty to a misdemeanor weapons charge on Friday. A charge of criminal trespassing was dropped as part of a negotiated sentence.
