The Altoona Mirror reports that the State Supreme Court has rejected a motion from the attorneys representing Deauntay Moye to have his sentence reduced. Moye and Ryan Hardwicke were charged with murder and pleaded guilty to killing Stephanie Watters back in 2015 after a drug deal went bad. Moye was sentenced to 50 years at the time when he was just 16 years of age. After a U.S. Supreme Court ruling saying that life sentences for juveniles were unconstitutional, the State Supreme Court used the one exception to that ruling..that Moye is deemed incorrigible and cannot be rehabilitated. Hardwick last week was told he will serve his 40 year minimum sentence.
