News reports say that numerous companies were called put to the blaze along south eagle valley road in Northwood, just north of Tyrone. One company fought flames entirely from the air because firefighters could not get inside the structure. The residents of the home did manage to escape and no injuries were reported. At the same time, another alarm was turned in for a house about half a mile from the scene, but that turned out to be a false alarm. The investigation continues to find a cause.
