According to reports, John Allen Jukes turned himself into Altoona Police on Tuesday after a robbery at FeFi’s grocery store on 2nd avenue. Jukes and Matthew Morrison both have been arrested and charged with the robbery on Monday morning. Jukes and Morrison cased the store on Sunday, in an apparent attempt to rob it, but were turned away by too many customers. Both went back Monday morning and Jukes allegedly robbed the clerk at knife point, taking nearly $3700 in cash. Morrison was arrested shortly after the robbery, while Jukes got away. He reportedly turned himself in to the Altoona Police Dept on Tuesday. He is charged with theft, robbery, and receiving stolen property.
