A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that police chased escaped prisoner Donald White who had driven through a yard with people actually in a swimming pool just before he was captured. White and Robert Miller both escaped from a work detail from the Clearfield County jail may 30th. Local and state police had joined efforts to catch white as he drove in a stolen truck. After the truck became disabled, white tried to flee on foot in a field near jay township. White faces charges of felony fleeing or eluding police, flight to avoid apprehension, resisting arrest, reckless endangerment, possession of a controlled substance. He was already facing charges including kidnapping, unlawful restraint and terroristic threats before he escaped.
