A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that almost half of that money will go to the Altoona Area School District. The report states that Altoona will be receiving $46.1 million, which is a $4.3 million increase in funding. The district received nearly $3 million more than was planned for. Bellwood district business manager Greg Gates said his district received $7.3 million, which was less than he thought the district would get. Bedford county school districts will receive $44.7 million, Cambria County’s 12 districts will pocket nearly $127 million, Huntingdon County schools $37.7 million and Centre County will get $44.4 million.
