According to a report by WTAJ, Allegheny Twp. police say 42 year old Terry Geist Jr of Hollidaysburg is in custody on charges he defrauded someone for kitchen remodeling. The report states that Geist was to have begun work back in January of this year, and was given a check for $5700. Later a second check for $4900,was issued for kitchen materials. He allegedly disappeared fro sight after he kept stalling the homeowners on why he was not doing the work, telling them about an illness. Then a business in Everett contacted Geist numerous times about new counter tops that were ordered, but Geist never picked them up. He was arrested and charged with home improvement fraud and for stealing the $10,650 he was given.
