A report by the Associated Press indicates that the state has recruited or at least drew the interest of 1100 potential poll workers for the November election. The U.S. Election Assistance Committee is helping coordinate the effort to recruit more poll workers. The reports said that Montgomery, Delaware and Chester counties received the most candidates for these positions. Philadelphia and Allegheny counties drew only 147 applicants. 9 counties across the state received no applications for poll workers. Officials blame the shortage on the lingering effects of the pandemic.
