According to a report by WTAJ, firefighters were sent out the house at 506 4th avenue just after 9:00 last night. Officials say that the fire began outside the house from a cable, and that it was electrical in nature. A quick thinking neighbor used a garden hose to put out the flames before any significant damage was caused. There were no injuries and the Altoona Fire Dept was quickly on the scene, and said the quick thinking by the neighbor probably save the house. The investigation continues.
