Possibly no tolls for Interstate bridges

In a report in the Altoona Mirror, legislators in Harrisburg say that they will now consider using bonds to help pay for proposed improvements to the 9 bridges, because legislation already on the books prohibits toll charges from being used. Cambria County legislator Wayne Langerholc said that the bond issue would allow the state to divy up the 9 projects, to and put them out for bid. Langerholc was the prime sponsor of act 184, which the use of tolls on interstate bridges to pay for any repairs. There are no interstate bridges from our region on the list of 9.
