News reports indicate that a fire alarm was called in from Allegheny Twp early Tuesday morning. The report states that the fire was located along Orangewood Drive around 2;45 in the morning. Police say that a neighbor heard a crackling noise coming from the house, and called 911. Allegheny Twp police arrived and rescued the woman, just before firefighters arrived. Authorities say that the quick action by the neighbor saved the woman’s life. The woman who was rescued suffered smoke inhalation. Four fire companies responded to the alarm, and cause of the blaze is unknown.
