Counties get election monies

A report in the Altoona Mirror indicates that Blair, Bedford, Centre, Huntingdon, Clearfield and Cambria counties will get the money for costs of county board elections duties including voter registration applications, polling place staff payment, security, printing of ballots and to pay for training costs for election officials. Blair county will get nearly $40,000, Cambria County gets $440,000, Huntingdon County will receive $144,000 and Centre County will get $540,000. The money will come from the election integrity grant program, and will go to 64 counties. The money amounts were determined based on the number of registered within each county.
