A report released by PSP indicates that troopers investigated some 648 vehicle crashes. 6 people were killed in those crashes, and troopers say that alcohol was involved in 4 of those fatal crashes. There were 515 arrests for DUI over the long weekend, along with nearly 23,000 traffic citations handed out. The number of crashes actually dropped from the same weekend in 2021, as did the total number of DUI arrests. These statistics are from the state police reports only.
