WTAJ is reporting that Giant and Martins grocery stores will be collecting food for their annual fill a plate event in honor of hunger action month. There will be drop off points in martins and giant stores to collect donations through this Sunday. All non perishable items will be accepted. Most needed are peanut butter, pasta, canned fruits and vegetables, cereal, pasta sauce, granola bars oatmeal and powdered milk. The Martins locations in Altoona will donate their collections to the St.Vincent DePaul food pantry.
