A report by a television station in New York state indicates that winter heating prices could jump some 39% on top of last years increase of winter heating bills. The national gird predicts that prices will spike this winter, causing the average homeowner to pay about $52 more each month that we heat our homes. A national grid spokesperson said that natural gas prices will rise $263 over last years increase. He said one of the driving influences on natural gas increases is the Russian invasion of Ukraine. He also said a mild winter and changes in the Ukraine situation cold cause prices to fall.
