A report by WTAJ states that the board is going to ask state lawmakers in Harrisburg for $357 million for the 23-24 academic year. That figure is a whopping 47.6% increase over the amount the school received this year, which was $242 million. First, the board has to approve asking for the money, then if approved, they will take their case to Harrisburg. This would be the largest increase the school has ever sought from lawmakers. The board is scheduled to meet this afternoon at 1 pm to take up the funding issue.
