WJAC reports that testimony began in the trial of Joshua Gorgone, who is accused of stabbing Denise Williams to death in his apartment in april of 2021. Gorgone is accused of killing Williams allegedly over a dispute about the price of a refrigerator Gorgone had advertised for sale on social media. The prosecution told the jury and courtroom that Williams had been stabbed some 68 times. The jury was then taken to the scene of the crime, and returned to the courtroom a half hour later. Gorgone’s attorney painted a picture of a man addicted to drugs since he was 14 years old. The trial continues today, and is expected to last throughout the week
