The report indicates that troopers were called to the scene at east spruce street in Philipsburg Monday morning. When troopers arrived they found a man inside the home dead of an apparent self inflicted gunshot wound. That report came from the Centre county coroner’s office police did not release any other information. North Centre street in Philipsburg had been closed for several hours. The investigation as to what caused the victim to take his own life is underway.
