WTAJ reports that police arrested 24 year old Connor Patterson, after he reportedly crashed his car into a fire hydrant at Washington Ave and W. 10th street. The hydrant was found in the parking lot of a local business after the crash. Police say that Patterson became a bit unruly after he was handcuffed. A passenger in his car told officers that both were drinking at the time of the crash, and several bottles were discovered in the automobile. Patterson tried to get out of his handcuffs and began resisting when ems personnel were taking him for a blood draw. That draw came back with a blood alcohol content of .223, nearly 3 times the legal limit. He is charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, DUI, and other related charges.
