A report by WJAC indicates that PennDot is still pursuing a ban against contracting firm Glenn o. Hawbaker of State College for stealing pension monies from their employees. Hawbaker had done millions of dollars worth of projects for PennDot for decades, and now PennDot says it wants to ban the company from ever getting another state contract. Officials at Hawbaker pleaded no contest to theft charges last year, and was ordered to re-pay some $21 million to current and former employees. The fight now centers on PennDot wanting to lift a temporary injunction for Hawbaker to continue to pursue PennDot contracts.
