A report by WTAJ indicates Pep. Scott Conklin of State College announced yesterday that he is proposing a bill that would make breakfast and lunch available to all school children across pa, regardless of household income. House bill 2829 was patterned after the federal universal school meal program that was created during the pandemic, but has since been discontinued. Conklin says that children should not go to school hungry, thus the reason for his support of the bill, which would include all students across Pennsylvania. Conklin did not say where the money to pay for the bill would come from.
