The Altoona Mirror reports that the trial for Isiah Payne and Onya Lewis has been scheduled for march 2023. The couple is accused of killing Natalie Washington and Michael Jackson Stevenson in may of 2020. Lewis new attorney said in a hearing this week, that her client did drive Payne to and from Washington’s home on the day of the shootings, and knew he was carrying a gun, but she said her client did not think that Payne was going to shoot the victims. Lewis was charged with second degree murder for her role in the shootings. Payne is facing first degree murder charges in the case, and is facing the death penalty.
