A report by WTAJ indicates the storied Blair building, located at 600 Penn street will be torn down beginning Monday. The building was hit by two fires in 2020 and again in 2021. Officials first thought the building could be saved, but it would have cost some $10 million, according to Huntingdon Borough officials, and that was a very steep price tag. The building had housed some 50 residents at the time of the fires. The demolition will begin this coming Monday, and is expected to last for some 90 days. You are asked to look for traffic pattern changes and closings when the project begins.
