In a news report, Rep. Frank burns announced yesterday that he has secured some $5.3 million for a new fire station in Jackson Twp, and for a new training school for careers in the trades also will be built. The new fire station will get $2.3 million, while the remaining $3 million will go towards the completion of the new trade school complex. Burns said that this money will help transform the Jackson Twp area. The current fire station will be demolished, with the new one to house new showers, bed space and a banquet hall.
