An Associated Press report indicates that state Rep. Martina White of Philadelphia has sponsored a resolution to impeach Krasner as the Philly D.A. Some 25 house members, all republicans have joined with White in sponsoring the motion. Krasner called the move devastating to democracy. Krasner has been called on the carpet for not prosecuting crimes such as prostitution, marijuana possession, some gun crimes and cash bail among others. House members said they will extend the legislative calendar by several days if necessary to get the impeachment process completed.
